State Tournament 2006 Roster Information Issued by Tournament Committee 09/29/04
- MAXIMUM ROSTER SIZE: Your tournament roster is limited to the number of players paid for by the registration deadline, Sept 8, (up to 25). However, if you have more than 18 players listed on your tournament roster, you can list and use no more than 18 players on your game roster for any particular tournament game.
- DEADLINE TO FINALIZE ROSTER: Because last minute injuries or other problems may change your tournament roster, the final names of the players on your tournament roster need not be determined until tournament check-in. However, at check-in, you must submit your final tournament roster in accordance to the rules detailed herein.
- ROSTER FORMAT: While your final tournament roster need not be certified by the State Registrar, it would be helpful if you can get your local association supply you with the basic computer generated roster used by most associations. If time does not permit this, your tournament roster should be typed or hand printed including the player’s full name & date of birth.
- ROSTER / PLAYER VERIFICATION:
- At check-in, the Tournament Committee will verify that each name on your tournament roster appears on a certified copy of either your Varsity or Junior Varsity roster. (In this way we can make sure that each player in the tournament is registered with the SDSSA as a high school player and that this fact has been certified by the State Registrar).
- You should bring a certified copy of your Varsity and Junior Varsity roster with you to check-in. If a player’s name does not appear on a certified Varsity or Junior Varsity roster, that player will not be eligible to participate in the tournament and his/her name will be stricken from your tournament roster.
- Each player pass will also be checked against your tournament roster and your certified rosters. A proper medical release must also be produced for each player on your tournament roster.
- CHANGES TO ROSTER NOT ALLOWED AFTER CHECK-IN: Please make sure your final tournament roster is complete and accurate at the time of check-in. Once you have checked in and your tournament roster has been verified by the Tournament Committee, you will not be allowed to make any further additions or corrections to your roster.
