Background Checks: Club Admins, Coaches, Managers
In order to protect and provide a safe and healthful environment to children participating in SDYSA’s sanctioned soccer clubs, leagues, programs, and tournaments, all SDYSA employees, coaches, assistant coaches, team managers or any other volunteer who is expected to have regular contact with youth players must complete a Risk Management Disclosure (EVERY YEAR). This costs $10 per individual, every year. This cost can be covered by the club. It must be filled out at the start of your involvement with players/teams and needs to be redone every year as long as you are involved with players in any capacity. Background checks that are done in the 2018-2019 soccer calendar year will expire 8/1/2020.
- Risk Management Disclosure: Completed once a year (August 1st - July 31st), every year, by all SDYSA employees, coaches, assistant coaches, team managers or any other volunteer expected to have regular contact with youth players.
- Background Check: Background checks are completed on all NEW coaches. Background checks are completed at random selection of returning coaches every year as well.
