THE 2026 SDYSA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES WILL BE HELD:

**THIS YEAR THERE ARE EXTENSIVE CHANGES TO THE REGIONAL AND NATIONAL COMPETITIONS WITHIN US YOUTH SOCCER. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR MORE INFORMATION REGARDING EACH EVENT. YOU CAN REACH OUT TO YOUR CLUB’S DIRECTOR OF COACHING FOR MORE INFORMATION, OR ANYONE AT SDYSA.**


**Teams choosing to compete in the South Dakota Presidents Cup do so knowing that the State Champion for each birth year and gender will then travel to the US Youth Soccer National Qualifier in Des Moines, IA in hopes of qualifying for the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup in Wichita Kansas!
**All USYS National Qualifier event fees are the responsibility of the team/club and are in addition to any SDYSA State Presidents Cup Registration fees. The SDYSA Presidents Cup event hosts teams of the level below those of the SD State Cup event. Teams need to apply to participate.



**Teams applying to compete in the South Dakota State Cup do so knowing that the State Champion for each birth year and gender will then travel DIRECTLY to the US Youth Soccer National Championships being held in July of 2026. There is no longer a Regional event.
**All USYS National Championships event fees are the responsibility of the team/club and are in addition to any SDYSA State Cup Registration fees. The SD State Cup event hosts the highest level of teams in South Dakota, in order to participate teams must apply to SDYSA for consideration.


All SD State Cup & SD State Presidents Cups Games will all be held at the
State of the Art Sanford Sports Complex: The Crossing!

This event serves boys and girls teams (U13-U19), vying to compete for the US Youth Soccer National Champion Title. Division winners will be crowned State Cup Champions and go directly to represent South Dakota at the US Youth Soccer National Championship. The SD State Cup event hosts the highest level of teams in South Dakota, in order to participate, teams must apply to SDYSA for consideration.

This event serves boys and girls teams (U13-U19) vying to compete for the SDYSA Presidents Cup title. Division winners will be crowned State Presidents Cup Champions and attend the US Youth Soccer National Qualifier event held Regionally. The SDYSA Presidents Cup event hosts teams of the level below those of the NCS State Cup event. Teams need to apply to participate.

The SDYSA Prairie Cup coincides with both NCS State Cup and State Presidents Cup and serves teams with a desire for a more recreationally based State Tournament experience, and doesn’t require any advancement from the event to a Regional Competition.
The purpose of the Prairie Cup is to create a meaningful state tournament where teams/clubs with varying levels can participate at the appropriate level and challenge to become a state champion. The SDYSA Prairie Cup is for competitive teams only that are registered members of SDYSA. This event is for boys and girls teams between U9-U19.
*The event will have separate divisions for team placement. Here is an example of what constitutes each division.
Gold = Highest competitive level. For teams that participate year round and attend competitive events in and outside of South Dakota.
Silver = Competitive level. For teams that participate year round and attend competitive events in South Dakota.
Bronze = Lowest competitive level.

Prairie Cup games will take place at Sanford Crossing, Tomar Park, and Yankton Trail Park.
